We are currently seeking a Landscape/Irrigation Laborer
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape & Irrigation Laborer to join our team. This is a year-round position that includes landscape maintenance, installation work, irrigation services, and winter snow removal. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and can handle physically demanding tasks.
This position is headquarters out of our South Plainfield office, but will work at various sites throughout NJ
responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup
- Assist with planting, mulching, and general landscape installations
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems (sprinklers, valves, controllers)
- Spring start-ups, routine system checks, and winterization of irrigation systems
- Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
- Assist with snow removal operations including shoveling, snow blowing, and applying ice melt
- Participate in on-call snow operations during winter storms (including nights and weekends as needed)
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and debris
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized job site
qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous landscaping and/or irrigation experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50+ lbs
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including snow and cold temperatures
- Availability for snow events and flexible hours during winter months
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment
- Valid driver’s license is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work as part of a team
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (some Saturdays as needed)
- Winter schedule varies based on snow events
Salary: $20-25 per hour based on experience.
